A Celebration of Life is the theme of the fifth year of Kuta Karnival where is taking place from 1 to 9 September 2007 along the Kuta Beach and offers the visitors many various activities to fill the celebration of life. It started in October 2003 to counteract the impact of the first Bali Bombing (October 12 2002) which almost destroyed tourism business in Bali. The schedule of Kuta Karnival below will show what to be expected from this carnival. From colossal dance for opening ceremony, freeing the turtle hatchlings to the sea, Bali Paddle for Peace which more than 1000 surfers are expected to participate to this event, sand castles competition, dance competition, Skating, Music Festival, exhibition, food bazaar, beach games, Rubbish bin painting competition, and of course Kuta Karnival Parade ala Mardi Gras as the closing ceremony which more than 2000 participants to be expected taking place.
